ONE WAY FORWARD
At the tender age of 18, Paul Goodfellow should still be playing his guitar in his garage. Paul emerged from the cooking pot with a band named Surplus in 1999, but that came to an end due to musical differences. Paul then came onto the solo scene in January 2000 and has never looked back since.
He was born in Gateshead on November 10th 1984. He currently lives in Low Fell and is studying A-levels as well as creating great music. His career so far has seen him play along side the likes of Hugh Cornwell (Ex-Stranglers frontman), Clive Gregson and Boo Houdine (Folk Musicians).
Pauls debut album titled "Here For The Taking" has been recieving Great feedback from both fans and fellow musicians.
What does the future hold for Paul? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, theres only One way forward for one of Newcastles finest up and coming musicians.

Paul Goodfellow - The Boy and his Music
Pauls raw acoustic sound has been described as melodic rock/pop. His voice has been described as "Dreamy" and extremly "Unique". Paul started writing songs when he was 13 years old. His first ever self penned number was "Broken Pieces" which still remains in his live set and it also features on his first album.
To catagorise Pauls music is quite a task. He has a mixture of rock and pop songs. His sound fit's into the new acoustic trend along with the likes of David Gray and Turin Brakes.
When we asked Paul about his Life as a live muscian he said "playing live is what its all about. If you cant perform live, your not a musician. The buzz of a silent audience is amazing. When people stare in silence on the slow songs in the set, thats when you know you have captured your audience."
Paul wants to make a full time living out of music which means a major record deal would have to be signed. With youth on his side, Top of the pops may be just round the corner. One thing is for sure, songwriting will always be a part of his life.
